Amber: Industry & The Tyne explores how Amber Films has documented working life, industry and industrial communities along the River Tyne and across Tyneside.

Drawing on films from the AmberSide Collection, Managing Director Laura Laffler will introduce a selection of work looking at industries, workplaces and the communities shaped around them. The session will consider how Amber’s documentary practice has recorded changing patterns of work and industrial life, while also reflecting on the organisation’s continuing work with the collection today.

Informal, accessible and open to all, the session offers an easy introduction to Amber’s films and documentary practice.
