About InSide

InSide is a monthly meet up for of photographers who care about documentary. It’s a place to show work in progress, talk things through, ask questions you’ve been sitting on, and hear how others are navigating their own practice. It’s also a space to advocate for documentary photography, for each other, and for the value of this work. InSide is relaxed, curious, and shaped by our community.

Meeting Structure

Part 1: sharing work
• 3 photographers per session
• 15 minutes each - to include both showing images and questions, advice, and discussion with the group.

This is about peer-to-peer support and learning. It’s an informal space to talk through ideas, share skills, or talk through sticking points in your practice. It’s not a critique session, unless someone asks specifically for that kind of feedback.

Part 2: building the community
• Sharing news and opportunities
• Flagging events people can attend
• Creating a group collaborative project / Discussing concerns affecting the community
