Antonio Balisciano: Beneath Vesuvius

I photograph everyday life with a focus on human connections, often getting close to the action to feel part of the moments I capture. I’m drawn to images with multiple elements, creating layers of meaning and tension. For me, street photography is also about finding moments that make us feel something and remind us of our shared humanity.

By the sea in Naples, generations gather as they always have. An old man stands where he has stood for decades, a couple rests on the rocks, and Maradona’s name lives on in the crowd. With Vesuvius watching over it all, this space becomes more than a shoreline... it is a place of memory and culture, a living reflection of the city that binds people together.
