About InSide

InSide is a monthly meet up for of photographers who care about documentary. It’s a place to show work in progress, talk things through, ask questions you’ve been sitting on, and hear how others are navigating their own practice. It’s also a space to advocate for documentary photography, for each other, and for the value of this work. InSide is relaxed, curious, and shaped by our community.

Meeting Structure

Part 1: sharing work

November's meeting will see the first external practitioner come and present to our group. We will be welcoming Lee Karen Stow (leekarenstow.com) who will talkabout her project OFFSHORE/ONSHORE looking at archives, artwork, research and personal history to explore and record the lives involved in offshore oil rigs.

She will be showcasing some of her work, along with personal archives, and then answering questions on practice, funding, working with academics and the future of recording community stories.

Part 2: building the community
• Sharing news and opportunities
• Flagging events people can attend
• Finding inspiration in other's work
