Our exhibitions bring documentary photography to the public through work drawn from the AmberSide Collection, new commissions and projects created with photographers across our region, the UK and further afield. These shows appear in partner venues, community settings and cultural spaces, and they allow people to encounter stories that reflect lived experience, local history and wider social realities.

This work relies on support. Donations help us care for the AmberSide Collection, develop new exhibitions and maintain the wider activity that makes it possible to share these stories with audiences across the North East and beyond.
