Keeping Film Accessible
Our film programming shares documentary cinema from the UNESCO-recognised AmberSide Collection, made by Amber Films and our collaborators over many years, alongside showcasing new documentary pieces. These works follow people and communities, often in the North East, and look closely at working lives, family life and social change.
Screenings and talks take place with partner cinemas, community venues and cultural spaces. They give people the chance to watch this work together on the big screen and spend time with the stories, places and histories they explore.
This work relies on support. Donations help us care for the collection, plan and present screenings and talks, develop future collaborations and sustain the wider activity that keeps this film heritage available to audiences across the North East and beyond.
All fundraising goes to the AmberSide Trust (registered charity number: 1160760).
